Johnny's working overtime tonight, kiss the kids for me he tells his wife, and then he promise's their pictures, he says, I'll make it up to you, and then he tells himself, someday I'm goin' to Goin' to tell them bedtime stories, Goin' to, hold her when she cries, maybe tomorrow he'll make good on his promise, he was goin' to, it's just a matter of time. Johnny grew up singing in the choir, but somewhere along the way, Johnny lost the fire, he said he'd get back into church, there's really no excuse, if he ever gets caught up, he's goin' to Goin' to, sing Amazing Grace, Goin' to, live the dedicated life, maybe this Sunday, he'll make a promise a prayer, he was goin' to, just needs a little more time.
