verse 1 The children sat around her with their eyes so open wide Waiting for the lesson to begin They were happy, just to be at school, eager to learn and make new friends She told the class her name was Miranda verse 2 And what will happen to them she thought as they grow up and they learn not from her But learn hard lessons from life itself And this was her only chance to help them off to a very good start.
